LabsLand Prism4 is a modular structure for remote laboratories. The LPEQ0003 DE1-SoC Kit for Prism4 is a kit that can be installed on a Prism4, designed for hosting 4 DE1-SoC.

The LPEQ0003 DE1-SoC Kit for Prism4 includes:

• 2 mounting plates designed for hosting 2 DE1-SoC each (4 total), like the ones on the photo on the right.

• ADALM2000 and multiplexing PCB to be able to use the oscilloscope with the 4 FPGAs

• Hardware enabling user-designed FPGA logic to interact with:

  • VGA (showing the VGA of the FPGA board in the user's web browser)

  • Audio (bidirectional: listening and sending audio to the FPGA)

  • GPIO control (simulating switches, buttons, and other peripherals)

It does NOT include:

• A Prism4 structure (bought separately).

• The DE1-SoC boards.

Learners use the remote laboratory through a browser, as shown in the video and the LCAL0001 laboratory resources.

Included learner access

The LPEQ0003 DE1-SoC support kit includes access for 75 learners per six-month period under the hosting organization’s agreed service arrangement with LabsLand. Contact LabsLand to arrange access for more learners.

The hosting organization has priority access to its own equipment. When that equipment is busy or unavailable, covered learners can use compatible equipment hosted by other organizations in the LabsLand network.

Six-month periods can be agreed with LabsLand to align with your semester or training calendar; fixed calendar half-years are not required.

LabsLand Platform Service

Each new Prism4 remote laboratory system includes 12 months of LabsLand Platform Service. Continued use of LabsLand’s hosted platform and services is subject to an agreement with LabsLand. Systems contributing capacity to the network may qualify for continued service at no additional charge; fees may apply depending on the arrangement.

Platform Service applies per Prism4 system and its agreed laboratory configuration. This support kit follows the service arrangement for the Prism4 in which it is installed; purchasing the kit or replacement boards does not start a separate included service period. Existing customers retain their agreed service terms.

Independent operation

Organizations may develop their own software and firmware to operate the purchased hardware independently. This requires their own development and integration work.
